HARVESTORE OFFERS STORAGEPRO™ PROGRAM FOR FEED AND MANURE MANAGEMENT ECONOMIC ANALYSIS
LOYAL, Wisconsin (July 13, 2005) --- A free software program that helps dairy producers analyze the economics of feed storage and manure handling is available from Engineered Storage Products Company, manufacturer of Harvestore® (haylage) and Slurrystore® (manure) storage equipment. For Slurrystore, the program has a version for hog operations.
StoragePro is an impartial way to help dairy farmers use data from their own farms to calculate all the costs associated with use of a Harvestore unit as well as concrete bunkers, concrete stave silos or storage bags. The software allows dairy producers to enter their own costs for construction, maintenance, spoilage, and routine operating expenses to give an overall return on investment for each storage option.
A section addressing Slurrystore economics also calculates liquid manure storage management economics, taking into account the value of fertilizer from “an agitated fertilizer blending” system such as Slurrystore.
The StoragePro program is available in CD-ROM form and is available through your local Authorized Harvestore Dealer. Dealer contact details can be obtained from www.harvestore.com or www.slurrystore.com, or by calling 815-756-1551.
