What Is Meant By Nominal Capacity?
(1) Nominal capacity is based on a freely formed 28-degree filling angle with apex of angle at bottom of roof cap.
(2) Nominal capacities given are for fine-cut 40% to 55% MC alfalfa haylage, corn silage or cornlage when structure is refilled after fill has settled. Settled volume is based on freely formed 35-degree filling angle with apex of angle at bottom of roof cap.
(3) Nominal capacity is based on density determination made by ESPC. Average density increases with depth and varies with feed type, moisture content, maturity, length of cut, filing rates and settling time.
